Nadya

Nadya wholeheartedly believes she is a teacup schnauzer. She demonstrates this by trying to curl up around the neck of anyone in a recliner or by fitting onto an already occupied lap at any cost.

She is as beautiful and sleek as a thoroughbred but is, in fact, a healthy, 14‑lb athletic schnauzer—and not a weightless cloud, as she would have us believe. She’s altogether too snuggly, especially when it’s time to get up in the morning.

When the lights come on, she runs to the pillows and sticks all four feet in the air until she gets a belly rub. As long as we want to use the recliner, we will continue to wear her as a “schnauzer scarf.”
